Michelle Yarbrough

Private flute instruction.

Michelle Yarbrough is a native of Branson, MO. Ms. Yarbrough attended College of the Ozarks where she graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Church Music. While attending CofO, Michelle was involved with Concert Band, Jazz Band, Chapel Choir, Musical Theater Pit Orchestra and various small ensembles. In 2006, she earned a Master of Music degree in Flute Pedagogy from Missouri State University. At MSU, Ms. Yarbrough served as President of the Missouri State Flute Society and was also a member of the Wind Ensemble, University Symphony, and the MSU Flute Quartet and Flute Choir. She is currently an on call musician for the Springfield Symphony and plays at various occasions and local venues.

During her teaching career, she has had several students earn I ratings at District and State Solo and Ensemble contest and students who performed with All District and All State bands.

Michelle has participated in masterclasses including: Tadeu Coehlo, John Bailey and Ervin Monroe. Her primary teachers have been Dr. Jill Heyboer and Mrs. Kathleen Cowens.
