Paul Stuart Reed

Private clarinet instruction.

From 1984 to 2009, Paul S. Reed was the Head Band Director in the Fremont (OH) City Schools. Mr. Reed coordinated the program from grades six through twelve and directed the Marching Little Giants, the Ross High School Symphonic Band, the Fremont Middle-School Ninth-Grade Band, the Ross Jazz Ensemble, the Ross High School Community Service Band and the Pep Band for boys and girls basketball. Under his direction, the Symphonic and Ninth Grade Bands consistantly received Superior and Excellent ratings in OMEA Adjudicated Events. Many of his students were selected for Honots Band, All-State Band and the National Wind Ensemble.

Mr. Reed received his B.M.E. from the Oberlin College Concervatory of Music in 1974 and his M.M.E. from West Virginia University at Morgantown in 1976. He has continued to study with prominent band conductors: Eugene Corporan (CCM), Craig Kirchoff (OSU), H. Robert Reynolds (U of M), Jack Williamson (MichStU) and Robert Cameron (Duquensne). He is a member of MMEA and MENC. He is now retired, living in the Springfield area, substitute teaching for Springfield Public Schools, performing with the MSU Community Band and teaching private clarinet lessons.
